Wendevo Safety Center

Good connections startwith feeling safe.

Meeting new people and trying new experiences should feel exciting. Here are some practical ways to look after yourself, respect others and get help when something doesn't feel right.

In danger right now?

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact emergency services first. Wendevo is not an emergency response service.

Emergency numbers are provided for convenience. If a call link doesn't work on your device, dial the number directly. When you're safe, you can report the incident to Wendevo.

Before you meet

Make good plans. Stay in control.

A little preparation can make meeting someone new safer and more comfortable.

01

Meet in public

For first meetups, choose a busy public place where other people are around. Avoid being pressured into meeting somewhere private.

02

Share your plan

Tell someone you trust where you're going, who you're meeting and when you expect to return. Wendevo's app lets you share confirmed meetup plans.

03

Keep conversations on Wendevo

Take your time before sharing personal contact details or moving conversations elsewhere. Keeping chats in the app makes reporting and blocking easier.

04

Protect your money and information

Never share passwords, one-time codes or banking details. Be cautious of anyone asking for money, gifts, transport fares or investments.

05

Plan your own transport

Arrange a way to get to and from your meetup independently. Keep enough battery and transport options available so you can leave whenever you choose.

06

Trust your instincts

If something feels wrong, leave the situation, seek help and report concerning behaviour. You never owe anyone your time or attention.

Your safety tools

You're in control of your experience.

Wendevo's mobile app includes tools to help you manage your privacy, interactions and meetup plans.
