Your account
Everything you need to know about your Wendevo profile.
Who can use Wendevo?
Wendevo is for people aged 18 and above. We're launching in Lagos first, with plans to expand to more cities.
How do I manage my privacy?
Open your profile settings in the Wendevo app to review the available privacy and discovery controls.
How do I delete my account?
You can request account deletion through the Wendevo app's account settings. Your account enters a 30-day deletion period, during which you may be able to restore it. After that period, personal information is removed or anonymized according to our retention and legal obligations.
What does the verified badge mean?
A verified badge indicates that the person has completed Wendevo's identity verification process. It doesn't guarantee their behaviour or mean Wendevo endorses them. Always follow basic safety precautions when meeting someone new.
I've forgotten my password. What should I do?
Use the password reset option on the sign-in screen and follow the instructions sent to your registered email address.
Tickets & payments
Buying tickets, receiving confirmations and getting help with orders.
Do I need an account to buy a ticket?
No. You can purchase tickets through the Wendevo website without creating an account. Enter your name and email at checkout to receive your confirmation.
Where can I find my ticket?
After a successful order, Wendevo sends your ticket to the email address you used at checkout. Your ticket email includes a QR code to present at the event.
I paid but haven't received my ticket.
First, check your inbox and spam folder. Some payments may take additional time to confirm. If your ticket still hasn't arrived, contact our support team with your payment reference and the email address used at checkout.
Can I buy tickets for more than one person?
Yes. You can select multiple tickets at checkout, subject to the event's purchase limits and availability. Some ticket types may also admit more than one person per ticket.
How do promo codes work?
If the organizer has provided a valid promotional code, enter it at checkout. Eligible discounts are applied before you complete payment. Some codes may only apply to specific ticket types.
What are hidden tickets?
Some organizers offer private ticket types that are only available with a special access code. Enter the code on the event page to reveal eligible tickets.
What happens if an event is sold out?
If the organizer has enabled a waitlist, you can join it using your email address. Wendevo may email you when tickets become available, but joining a waitlist does not reserve a ticket.
Can I get a refund?
Refund eligibility depends on the event's refund policy and the circumstances of your request. Review the terms shown when buying your ticket or read our Refund Policy.
What if an event is cancelled?
If an organizer cancels an event, affected ticket orders are handled according to Wendevo's cancellation and refund rules. Check our Refund Policy for more details.
Safety & reporting
Staying safe and reporting concerning behaviour.
How do I report someone or an event?
Use the reporting option available on the relevant profile, event or content in the Wendevo app. You can also contact our safety team by email.
What happens after I submit a report?
Our team reviews submitted reports and takes action where appropriate. We may request additional information, and we may be unable to share details of actions taken against another account.
Someone is asking me for money. What should I do?
Be cautious about requests for money from people you haven't met or don't know well. Avoid sending money or sharing financial information, and report suspicious behaviour through Wendevo.
What should I do in an emergency?
If you or someone else is in immediate danger in Nigeria, contact emergency services on 112. Wendevo is not an emergency response service. Once you're safe, you can report the incident to our team.
Hosting & organizing
Creating events, selling tickets and managing payouts.
How do I start hosting events?
Create an organizer account through the Wendevo organizer portal. Learn more about getting started on our For Organizers page.
Can I organize events as an individual?
Yes. Individuals can host after completing identity verification. Registered businesses can also apply to host, subject to business verification and approval.
How much does it cost to sell tickets?
Wendevo's standard commission on paid tickets is 5%, plus applicable payment processing fees. Organizers can choose to pass eligible checkout fees to buyers or absorb them. Promotional commission waivers may apply.
When will I receive my ticket revenue?
Ticket money for each event is held by Wendevo until the event is over, so buyers can be refunded if plans change. For new organizers, the payout is checked by our team and sent 48 hours after the event ends, once no refunds are open. After 3 successful payouts, payouts are sent automatically, 12 hours after each event.
Can my team help manage an event?
Yes. Wendevo supports organizer team roles and permissions, allowing authorized team members to assist with event management and ticket check-in.
How do I check attendees in?
Wendevo supports QR-code ticket scanning on supported phones, so authorized staff can validate tickets and manage guest entry.
